Viral Meat Bowl x Eat Shed Glow™

Serves 1 Prep time: 5 mins Cook time: 12 mins

Ingredients:

  • 5 oz sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch bite-sized pieces

  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp avocado oil

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce or ponzu sauce

  • 1/2 cup cooked brown rice, cooled down white jasmine rice, or quinoa

  • 1 cup fresh broccoli florets

  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

  • 1 tbsp fresh chives or parsley, chopped

  • 1/2 avocado, sliced (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Heat avocado oil in a large skillet over high heat.

  2. Season steak pieces with salt and pepper.

  3. Add steak to skillet and cook undisturbed for 4-5 minutes until browned. Flip and cook 3 more minutes.

  4. Meanwhile, steam broccoli for 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.

  5. Add soy sauce or ponzu to the steak and toss for 1 minute until coated.

  6. Layer rice or quinoa in your bowl, top with steamed broccoli and seared steak.

  7. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and fresh herbs. Add avocado if desired.

Eat Shed Glow™ modifications:

  • With carbs: Use brown rice, cooled down white jasmine rice, or quinoa

  • Without carbs: Sub grains with cauliflower rice or double broccoli and add the avocado sliced for satiety

Note: You can substitute 5 oz ground turkey or ground beef (93% lean) for the steak bites. Cook ground meat for 6-8 minutes, breaking into small pieces until browned.
