How to Make Perfect Boiled Eggs

Storage: Refrigerate unpeeled eggs for up to 7 days.
How to Make It
Place 2-4 eggs in a single layer in a saucepan.
Cover with cold water by about 1 inch.
Bring to a rolling boil over high heat.
Once boiling, cover the pot and remove from heat.
Let eggs sit in hot water:
6.5 minutes for soft-boiled (perfect jammy yolk)
10 minutes for hard-boiled (fully set yolk)
Transfer eggs to an ice bath for 5 minutes.
Peel or store unpeeled in the refrigerator.

Notes
